Every now and then I get asked to do a custom build that looks better than I thought it would. A case in point are two sets of three rods with cork handles, silver hooded reel seats and stainless steel winding checks. Three are
Chimera Avons and three are
P-1s. Here they are awaiting the varnish.
I'd be quite happy to use those myself - unlike some custom jobs I've done in my time!
The way things are going I'll not get my
'bream' rods finished in time to use them this year. Still no sign of those missing rings - despite prodding the suppliers last week...
